 Tom is back!

Okay, so rather than update my dang website, I’m WordPressing the thing. It should be a lot easier to maintain!

 What’s going on?

I’m living in Austin, I’m married to Terri, a wonderful woman, and making an MMO.

Mindy’s back from New Zealand, happy to return to the family and Tex-Mex food!

Christopher should get out of the Army this month!  Very exciting.

There you go!

In 6/13/2005, I asked you “Why don’t you update your site?” and your answer was “I have been really bad about the website. I think when people kept hacking the guestbook, that got frustrating, and I moved to Austin, so I’ve been quite busy. I will update it this week if at all possible since you mentioned it. ” 🙂
Well, I’m glad you updated your site again 🙂

    Hey Tom

Thrilled to see your site updated – that being said, I was expecting to be assaulted by random ads when I realised my cached copy no longer checked up against the content… imagine my pleasant surprise.
One ecstatically looks forward to the future. I hope you’ll keep us posted with more recent events as time progresses 🙂

I will never forgive you, Tom, for making the best game in the world and leaving it unfinished. Anachronox was a mixed blessing really, a torment for our souls (much more than Planescape:Torment actually), the majestic finale becoming an unbearable and infinite teaser. Every year I visit the forums at hoping to hear news of a sequel, but it never happens. And I realise that the more time passes, the less likely it will be for it to happen. I know these things take time and money, but if you ever (even 20 years from now) have the oportunity to do it again, please don’t let it pass. It doesn’t have to be a game, it could be a book, movie, series or whatever, just don’t let the story die. I know the scipt was almost done for the second part. It’s funny, actually, we rarely think about “the uncreated”, like if Beethoven could have written one more symphony, or Dostoievski one more book, but Anachronox leaves a big hole in our hearts waiting to be filled.

That’s the way I feel about it, don’t mean to scare you or anything, just sorry it didn’t happen, that’s all. Well, good luck on your future projects, maybe another gem like Anachronox will pop up eventually!

    Hi Tom,
I just wanted to tell you that your Walton Simons voice featuring in Deus Ex is just maybe one of the greatest I ever heard (including in movies), you just give the characters a fabulous personnality who makes him wicked and cold.
Great job (8 years after) !

Great to run into you and Terri at the museum! Sounds like you’re having fun doing what you love. I’ll pass the word on to Ann. Keep in touch. Don’t know if this the right place to leave this message, but it seemed good under your picture…nice shot too!
    Love to you both.

    Hi, Tom!

I missed atualizations in your old site. Glad you are back!

I’m from Brazil and I am a big fan of Anachronox. It is one of the best, most immersive story and characters ever created. I do love it, and is on my list “Reasons why is good to be alive” :).

    Love you Tom.

    Take care.

I too will always associate you with voice acting greatness. Ah, Walton Simons… “Damn you, Denton!” Congrats!

Loved your work on Deus EX. I’m playing through again on select missions via the Legend cheat.

I would love to think that you will be in the next chapter of Deus Ex, since it appears to be a prequel. It only seems right that good ol’ Walton would be stirring things up!!
