Hello! Dear Tom, I need to know, who was the main composer of the (superb) Anachronox soundtrack? I read on the site Planet Anachronox that Bill Brown did the bulk of the music for the game, but I don’t recall seeing his name on the credits…
So please, tell me, who was the main composer of Anox soundtrack ?
Yeah Bill Brown did a lot of it, we found out after the fact. We hired Soundelux to produce the music (except for the funk song, which was done by a now-broken-up bank called Drunken Monkey).
Anyway, Soundelux has a stable of composers, so projects are not necessarily written by one person.
Like you said, I just found Brown’s website and read that Anox music was a collaboration. I wanted to know because I do love Anox music (and the game of course! Steal the rights and make another! 😀 ).
The music is very, very nice, some tunes like the main theme, battle in Levant, final scene and final battle can’t get out of my mind.
By the way, the question came to my mind because your post is about a music festival :).
Say, have you ever heard of Good Old Games? if not, go there now (http://gog.com) and check it out. Anyway, I think it might be a good place to put Anachronox, Hyperspace Delivery Boy, and anything else you think should be put out in the open. I, along with quite a few other people have been trying to get these games for ages and have had no luck. I can’t find HDB anywhere!
