Hey There!

15 Mar

Been a while, but now GDC and other large things are behind, thought I would post.

Favorite game from GDC: Limbo.  Atmospheric, really cool puzzles.  Great indie game.

Check it out.

It was great seeing friends and meeting new folks.  But glad to be back home!

    Hi, Tom!

Nice to hear news from you 🙂

Wish I was able to be at GDC.

At least I’m glad Square / Eidos released a Deus Ex 3 trailer.

They should invite you to voice some character! A DX without your voice will not be the same thing.

I wonder what these “large things” you mention are?

    Take care !

Eh, large things are just life, ya know.

    Hey Tom!

This is unrelated to the blogpost but I couldn’t find any other way of contacting you! 🙂

I am a musician and composer from Sweden. I’m also an avid gamer with my nostalgia being rooted in the old DOS games of the 90s. One in particular is a favorite of mine, namely Hocus Pocus. I was inspired by the “Mad Monks of Mellenwah” to compose a song which I would like to call just that, “Mad Monks of Mellenwah”. I looked up the credits for Hocus Pocus, and it lists you as having taken care of the dialogue/story of the game, and thus these Mad Monks of Mellenwah are your creation! That is why I am asking you for permission to name my composition after your work in the dawn of PC gaming. I have a sample of the composition available if you wish to hear it. Thanks!

    /Oskar

I think that is certainly acceptable as a reference! Go do it!

Just don’t make a game called that and we’re cool. 🙂

    Thanks!

The song is in its composing stage at the moment. If I ever record it proper I will be sure to show you how it sounds. 🙂

Limbo looks so cool, put my eyes on it a couple of years ago!
