Got to admit the art style sort of threw me away, but after watching what you could do with it I think that this will be much better than the level editor on Super Meat Boy, which was a shame I was ready to do some awesome stuff with it, but it looks like this editor is not going to crash and erase all 40hrs of my work. 😦
No wonder that game still feel like a beta…
The alternate space art looks cool, and I cannot wait to get my copy.
Well it looks like you are taking a good step Tom, I just hope that the community can pull together and get this one funded 😀

Interesting, interesting… except there are no reward tiers between $5 and $30. 😦
(Seems like the perfect spot to throw in a digital download of Hyperspace Delivery Boy. Oh well, next time.)

Hi there.
I am a huge fan of your amazing work with commander keen! Although the series came out a couple of years before i was born, i spent my entire childhood playing it! I think each Commander Keen is outstanding, but i don’t quite think any of them can beat number 4.
I am hoping to be a games developer myself. I know you mention a follow up to commander keen, which also looks good! But i was just wondering why you don’t carry on with the outstanding series? It was such a brilliant game and was probably one of the main aspects that make me want to be a games designer. I also wondered if you have any good tips on becoming one
Thanks

Thanks for the nice words!
Don’t have the rights to Keen, and Zenimax won’t sell them.
Tip: just make games! I made 50 little games before I got in the industry. Find a small team of friends and make one, or make one yourself. Start with a board game / paper game so you have no barriers to starting and finishing. Then get a team and make a little game. Like a one-screen game, that is small, so you can FINISH it. That’s the hardest part — getting it to the finish line.

Tom, big fan here!
Too bad your kickstarted wasn’t funded and you only got 1/4 of your goal.
So this project won’t be published I guess?
Well, I’m a.t.m. recording Commander Keen levels one by one and placing them on my youtube channel, I found some standart galactic alphabet letters that spell out your initials every now and then, great eggs! I’m having a lot of fun playing these games. A year ago I 100%-ed Wolf3D and SoD too.
Thanks for these great games and I hope to see more, perhaps you’re project can be funded another way someday!
